Survey Data Highlight Barriers to Care and Consequences of Limited Access

Only 11% of Project Access-New Haven (PA-NH) patents rate their health as “excellent” or “very good” when they enroll, while the majority (67%) report “poor” or “fair” health. These figures are concerning, but are even more troublesome when compared with national data, which show that 54% of the U.S. population put themselves in the first category and only 15% in the latter*.
